Going the extra mile for a Green Wedding

If you’re looking for a wedding planner that will go the extra mile to keep your wedding green, there are a few things that you should be aware of. Looking for event planners can be a difficult task, but if you can figure a few things out before you start looking for yours, then you might find the task easier.  There are many great things that you can do in order to help your planner, such as figure out what kind of wedding you’d like to have and what kind of dress you’d like to wear.  These kinds of details can really help your wedding planner find exactly what you’re looking for and also so that you don’t butt heads too often.

If helping the environment go green is something that you’re interested in, then you may want to find a wedding planning service that specializes in that area or is willing to help you do that.  You don’t want to find a pro that will be wasting materials and spending more than necessary, but you do want to find a planner that is willing to do what it takes to get you that great event that you’ve always wanted and the way you want it.

Here are a few tips that can really help you along the way to finding a great wedding planner:

  • Figure out what kind of wedding you want.  Don’t leave this up to your wedding planner.  If you want a wedding on the shore with a panoramic view of the city, then make sure your wedding planner knows.  If you’d rather have your wedding in the heart of the city, they will want to plan accordingly.
  • What kind of catering do you want?  Is catering something that is very important to you?  Do you know where you can get catering for your wedding?  If you don’t know the answer to these questions, then you might want to ask a professional. You will also want to be sure to have the kind of food that you want.  If you are interested in going green, then you may want to consider a vegetarian or vegan menu.  You will at least want to consider having organic foods for your wedding.  Event planning experts should know a lot of different places that you can go in order to meet these needs.
  • Do you want to have an indoor or outdoor wedding?  For a green wedding, you may want to consider having it outside.  There is much less energy required to have an outdoor wedding because there won’t be heat or air conditioning or much electricity being used.  If you can use less energy, then it is recommended that you have an outdoor wedding.  It can help to conserve energy.  You may also want to consider having a venue that is close to all of your friends and family since the conservation of gas is helpful for the environment and your guests.

Although finding a wedding planner can be challenging, it isn’t completely impossible to find one that can provide you with everything that you want and need.  There are plenty in the marketplace that is willing to go the extra mile to make sure that your wedding stays green, you just have to take a little extra time to make sure you find that one that is willing to take the extra time and go the extra mile with you.

Even if you’re going green, here’s one last tip for you: make sure that you are aware of others’ food allergies.  If you decide to go vegetarian or vegan for your catering, you will most likely have other sources of protein, like nuts.  It is great to have these sources of protein but keep in mind that many people have nut allergies, and you may want to have foods that they can eat.  Nut allergies are very common, and making sure that you have food that each and every one of your guests can enjoy will be helpful as you are planning your wedding.
